Hello and thanks for joining me.
My last couple of posts have been about simple projects for new paper crafters and today I’m sticking with that theme with this #simplestamping card…
There are a few layers to this card for a #simplestamping card but believe me they’re really easy to do.
I started with a card base made from Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm on the long side. This forms a standard side opening card.
I cut a piece of Pretty Peacock card and a piece of coordinating designer series paper that each measure 9 x 13 cm. You don’t have to perfectly line them up just add them both at angles onto the card.
I added a piece of Whisper White card measuring 2 cm wide and 12 cm long across the middle of the card, overhanging at each end. I then added a piece of Pretty Peacock card the length but only 1 cm wide on top of the white. You can then trim off the excess at each side. This way you don’t have to be really accurate when you cut your card pieces.
I cut another piece of Whisper White card to measure 6 x 9.5 cm and stamped the pens from Crafting Forever and the Just a Note from Flourishing Phrases stamp sets in Pretty Peacock ink. To jazz it up a little bit I inked the edges of this piece of card with a sponge dauber but you don’t need to add this step if you want to keep it simple. This panel was added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on any of the links if you’d like to purchase them from my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store.
Happy crafting,
