Hello and thanks for joining me.
If you read my blog post on Wednesday then you’ll know that I recently picked up this bargain pack of Christmas themed paper from the Stampin’ Up! Clearance Rack…
Today’s project uses a sheet from this pack but isn’t a Christmas Project…
I’ve used a piece of the paper to decorate one of the Copper Tea Tins you can buy from Stampin’ Up! I hope you agree that this pattern isn’t really Christmassy unless you combine with other elements of Christmas.
I simply cut the designer series paper to 3 x 12 inches and starting at the back wrapped it around my tea tin. I also cut a strip that is 5/16ths of an inch by 12 inches and added this to the edge of the tin’s lid, again making sure my join was at the back. I also cut another piece measuring 3.5 x 2 inches for the top of the lid. I used the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners.
As the tin is copper coloured I decided to use Copper Foil, Copper Trim and Copper Heat embossing for my decoration.
The sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto Cherry Cobbler card, sprinkled with Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set. I then cut it with my 2 inch circle punch.
I wrapped a length of Copper Trim around the middle of the tin, making sure the ends met in the middle at the front, so they could be covered by the sentiment.
I used my Leaf punch and Sprig punch twice each on Copper Foil and also my Starburst punch. I added the sentiment circle to the Starburst and popped this up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then tucked the leaves and sprigs under it.
You get a set of 4 of the Copper Tea Tins for £14 so they work out to be £3.50 each and at 3 & 3/4 inches by 3 & 5/8 inches by 2 & 1/4 inches they’re big enough to hold all sorts of goodies.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! shop if you’d like to buy any of them.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
