Votive candle Thanks box

Hello.

Today I have a little box that’s just big enough to hold a Yankee votive candle…

I used Mint Macaron card for my base that measures 8 & 1/2 inches by 6 & 1/2 inches. On the long side score at 2, 4, 6 and 8 inches. On the short side score at 2, 4 and 6 inches. Here’s your cutting guide…

For the very top 1 inch panel you only need the one for the lid closure and I rounded the corners of it to help the box to close more easily. I cut the 2 side tabs for the top roughly in half so that they don’t overlap when you close the box. Glue the side tab to the inside of the last panel and then fold up and glue the bottom flaps in the order right, left, back then front so that you get a sturdy base.

The designer series paper I used is from the super shiny Mosaic Mood speciality designer series pack. Each panel measures 1 & 7/8th inches square and you’ll need 5 of them.

I used my 1/2 inch circle punch to create a notch at the top of the front panel to make it easier to open the top of the box.

To decorate the front panel I stamped Thanks from the Well Said stamp set in Mint Macaron ink onto Very Vanilla card The. Cut it with a Layering Circles die. I cut a larger scalloped circle from Mint Macaron card with the same die set and glued them together.

I used my Leaf punch on Very Vanilla and Mint Macaron card and glued them both to the front of the box then added the circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few pearls as a final touch…

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed the products used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store if you’d like to buy any of them.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
