Hello.
Have you seen the Follow Your Art suite in the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue? (it’s on pages 52 to 54) I absolutely love it already and I’ve just started playing with it!
I have a bit of a ‘thing’ for buttons and have jars & jars of them all colour coded in my craft room so when I realised that this suite contains button stamps, dies and a button embossing folder I knew that I just HAD to have it!!
I also thought that it would be a great suite for notebooks etc for craft fairs so I’ve made this little sticky note holder to try out my theory…
Calypso Coral is one of the many colours in the Follow Your Art designer series paper so I chose that colour card as my base. My sticky note pad measures approx 3 inches square. So I cut my card to measure 7 & 3/8 inches by 3 & 1/4 inches. On the long side, I scored at 3 & 1/8 inches, 3 & 1/2 inches and then 3 & 7/8 inches. Fold at the middle score line and make 2 cuts from the edge to the next score line to form the pen holder part. The glue together the bits highlighted in orange in this photo from a previous version…
You can then glue your sticky note pad inside and decorate the front.
I cut a piece of the Follow Your Art designer series paper to measure 3 & 1/8 inches by 3 inches and glued this to the front.
I stamped the sentiment and binder clip from the It Starts With Art stamp set using Calypso Coral ink. The binder clip and the buttons were cut from Calypso Coral card using the Arts & Crafts dies. The sentiment was cut using the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes dies.
All that I needed now was my mini pen…
I didn’t have a coral one but orange was close enough.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. I’ve listed the products used below and you can click on the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store. If you buy the dies and stamps together as a bundle you will save 10% on the cost of buying them separately so I’ve shown the bundle code below too.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
