Hello.
At a team event last month I received the cutest little triangle treat box from my lovely friend Karen from www.corriepapercrafts.blogspot.com and pestered her to get a tutorial and she recreated the project on this video…
I also found some little cartons of paperclips for sale in a shop recently and thought that might actually make a nice crafty swap for a future event so I’ve combined the two ideas to create a larger version of Karen’s box that is big enough for some jumbo paperclips…
The only difference between my box and Karen’s is the height. I used Lovely Lipstick card measuring 6 & 1/2 inches by 4 & 1/4 inches. My scoring is the same as Karen’s so on the long side score at 1 & 3/4, 3, 4 & 3/4 and 6 inches. On the short side score at 1 & 1/4 inches. On the long side you also need to make marks at 2 & 3/8 inches and 5 & 3/8 inches to use when making the diagonal score lines.
I used some All My Love designer series paper measuring 8 by 1 & 3/4 inches and used Karen’s method of wrapping it around and creasing it.
I used 3 stamps from A Big Thank You for my sentiment with Lovely Lipstick ink onto Whisper White card. I used my Layering Circles dies to cut the sentiment and a larger scalloped circle from Lovely Lipstick card. This was added to the front of the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I put 12 of these jumbo paperclips inside my version.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. Thank you so much to Karen for her inspiration and for taking the time to record her tutorial for us all.
