Hello and thanks for joining me.
I’m loving this week’s challenges over in the Stampin’ For All Facebook group. I’ve already shared the masculine card I made for the challenge set by Jill on Monday and now it’s time to let you know about the Colour challenge set by Amanda Charlesworth (aka Scrimping Mommy) on Wednesday. We had to use the following 3 colours and we could also use white:
This combination got me thinking tropical so out came the Tropical Chic stamp set and the coordinating Tropical Thinlits dies to make this card…
I used my normal card base measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to make a landscape tent fold. I then added a layer of Pool Party card measuring 10 x 14 cm.
I cut another piece of Whisper White card to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm and stamped the lines in Pool Party Ink and the Thank You in Lovely Lipstick ink.
To create the flowers I inked up the stamp with Grapefruit Grove then used a tissue to blot the centre of the stamps which I then inked with Lovely Lipstick using a sponge dauber. I stamped this onto scraps of Whisper White card then die cut them. I also die cut the leaf fronds from Whisper White card.
I used some Wink Of Stella on the flowers before I added them to the card base. This helps to blend the 2 colours a little bit but more importantly makes them sparkle…
Two of the flowers were glued onto the card base and the third one was popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I’ve listed all of the products I used on today’s card below. You can click on the product links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. I’d be honoured to be your independent demonstrator.
The Tropical Chic stamps and dies are currently available as a bundle with a saving of 10% on the cost of buying them individually. Both products will be available in the next catalogue which launches on 4th June 2019 but the bundle saving will not be, so if you’re interested in buying both get them now before the price increases.
Just let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to help.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
