Hello and thanks for joining me.
I realised that my stash of birthday cards had dwindled so I thought I’d better make a couple of quick cards so that I have them ready when I need some. I decided to use some of the amazing Share What You Love speciality designer series paper and firstly made this one…
With paper this gorgeous it really doesn’t need anything more than a sentiment added, although obviously a bit of bling and ribbon never go amiss! The Share What You Love Paper pack is twice the size of a normal pack of 12 x 12 inch paper with a whopping 24 sheets and is much thicker than our standard paper too – hence the price.
I made a base from Mint Macaron card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a side opening card. I then cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry card to measure 10 x 14cm and a piece of the DSP to measure 9 x 14 cm.
The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set, that retires in a few weeks. I stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto Whisper White card then cut it with my Everyday Label punch. I punched another label from Rich Razzleberry and cut it in half to glue onto the back of the stamped one.
I added a piece of the luxurious Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon to the card and then added the label over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The beautiful silver rose embellishment comes from the Share What You Love embellishment kit.
I liked this card so much that I made another version…
With the second one I used Tranquil Tide card and ink instead of the Rich Razzleberry. I also used the Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon that’s currently in the Clearance Rack as I type this (it may have sold out by the time you read this!) and some of the Share What You Love pearls. I love the shimmer on this paper…
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s cards. I’ve listed the products used below and you can click on any of the product links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. I’d love to be your independent demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
