Hello and thanks for joining me. Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk Blog Hop for April 2019. Our theme this month is to choose a line from these colour options and I hope you’ll visit all of the bloggers taking part…
After the longest time I eventually decided to choose the first vertical row; Highland Heather, Night of Navy and Mango Melody. This challenge has been tough as there are too many choices, lol.
I then chose a stamp set that I hadn’t used for ages; Flourishing Phrases and I’d actually put my Flourish Thinlits dies inside the stamp case so decided to mainly use these too. And here’s what I came up with…
I made a card base from Whisper White card measuring 21 x 14.5cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5cm to create a standard side opening portrait card. I then added another layer of Whisper White measuring 10 x 14 cm that I had scored on the reverse at 1cm, 2cm, 12cm and 13cm just for an extra little detail…
I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut the 2 larger flowers from Highland Heather card and the tiny one in Mango Melody. I cut 2 squares using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies from Whisper White and Night of Navy. I added the flowers to the Whisper White one; I stuck down all of the larger one and then just the middles of the next two so that they have some dimension. I glued the Whisper White square to the Night of Navy one and then added this to my card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment comes from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and I used Highland Heather ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit. I cut a larger one from Night of Navy card and glued them together.
I also used the trellis type die from Flourish Thinlits on both Night of Navy and Mango Melody card and trimmed them to fit the width of the card. I overlapped these when adding them to the card base and then added my sentiment over them with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my project for this challenge and are ready to hop along to see what the everyone else has created. Please click on the box below to see the list of superbly talented people taking part and the links to their blogs…
