Hello and thanks for joining me today.
I love papercrafts for a number of reasons, the main one for me is the act of being creative and making pretty cards or small gift packages. It’s very therapeutic and my kind of Mindfulness. But also, when you create a card and send that to someone you can brighten their day with your kindness too.
That’s the idea behind today’s card….
How lovely is that sentiment? And it goes so well with the rainbow coloured hot air balloon, don’t you think?
I used a Whisper White card base measuring 21 x 14.5cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a conventional side opening card. I then added a layer of Night of Navy card measuring 10 x 14 cm.
I stamped a piece of Whisper White card measuring 9 x 10 cm with the clouds from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Balmy Blue ink. I cut a piece of Pacific Point card measuring 1 x 10 cm and added it to my stamped piece so that only 0.5cm is showing.
I die cut my hot air balloon from the Up & Away thinlits set from Night of Navy card. I then die cut the backing pieces from Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape card. These are all from the Brights colour collection and work so well together.
I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy ink and the little note in Balmy Blue ink then used my Rectangle Stitched framelits to cut it out. I used a larger framelit for the backing piece of Pacific Point card.
