Mother’s Day cards, featuring Stampin’ Up! Large Letter framelits dies

Mother’s Day in the UK is on 31st March. If you’re looking to make your mother a card to celebrate the chances are that you don’t actually call her Mother, am I right? That’s where the Stampin’ Up! Large Letter framelits dies have the answer, as you can see from my few possible examples…

And there’s an increasing trend to send Mother’s Day card to some of the other wonderful women in our lives or the lives of our children…

The possibilities are only restricted by the size of the card you’re willing to make!

In all of my examples I made card bases from Powder Pink card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold. I add a layer of Berry Burst card measuring 14 x 10 cm and then a layer of Powder Pink measuring 13.5 x 9.5 cm. On the Mum and Mam cards I added some score lines to the top layer to give a bit more interest and incidentally they help you line up the letters.

The letters are all cut from the same paper from Garden Inspirations designer series paper pack.

The Happy Mother’s Day stamp is from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and I used Berry Burst ink onto Powder Pink card, trimmed it to size and backed it with Berry Burst card before adding them to the cards.

The little flowers are made with the Bitty Blooms punch pack and adding rhinestones to the middle for a bit of sparkle.

The main 2 colours used in these cards are part of the 2017-2019 In Colors and will be retiring at the end of May 2019; to make way for the 2019-2021 In Colors. If you like these colours please stock up soon, the reinkers, card etc will probably sell out before the end of May so get in quick!
