Friday chocolate treat time

Hello & happy Friday!

Today I’ve revisited a project from last year, but this time with a bigger (and so better) bar of chocolate…

These contain a Lindor chocolate bar. When I made them before, I used a multi-pack size so this time I had to increase the length of the paper to 4 by 10 inches.

This is scored on the short side at 1 inch, 1 & 3/4 inches, 2 & 3/4 inches and 3 & 1/2 inches, for the full length of the paper. To make it easier to fold in the ends to close the package I also scored at 1 & 3/8 inches and 3 & 1/8 inches but only for about 1 inch at the top and the bottom of the paper. Once this has been folded up into a tube and glued along the 1/2 inch section, I simply pressed one end together and closed it with a staple. You can then add your chocolate bar (oh and I found that a Galaxy Ripple bar also fits!)…

I made the Happiness Blooms floral one first and as I wanted to use matching Calypso Coral ribbon I used the oval hole punch in the Detailed Trio punch but found that I had to squash the paper to get it into the punch. So, for the second one made from Tranquil Textures designer series paper I used the 1/8th circle punch and Silver & Whisper White Baker’s Twine for the closure.

To decorate the Happiness Blooms one I stamped the You’re The Best from the All Things Thanks stamp in Calypso Coral ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with a Rectangle Stitched framelit. I then added flowers and leaves made with the Bitty Blooms punches…

As the Tranquil Textures version is more gender neutral I decide against adding flowers and simply stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with the Classic Label punch. I also cut 2 other labels from Tranquil Tide card and glued all 3 together onto the package and added some Silver Metallic pearls…
