Hello! We all love a little treat to brighten our day, don’t we? Well today I’ve got 2 projects that I’m sure would fit the bill…
The little box at the back is copied from the lovely Linda Parker at Papercraftwithcrafy.co.uk – please click here to visit Linda’s blog and in turn watch her YouTube tutorial. This contains a Burt’s Bees Tropical Pineapple lip balm, so it was a natural choice to use some Pineapple Punch designer series paper for my version.
As you’ll see from Linda’s blog, she took inspiration for her box from Sam at www.pootles.co.uk. After a bit of searching I’ve found Sam’s larger version for you too – click here to see it.
The great thing about this little box is that there’s no glue involved!! So if you had a few to make you could do all the cutting and scoring in advance and just put them together at the last moment.
In my version I used the To My Friend stamp and hearts in Pineapple Punch ink onto Whisper White card. Both stamps are from the cute Little Elephant set. I used my classic label punch to cut it out and backed it with another label in Pineapple Punch card. I used the Silver Metallic Edged ribbon for the bow on top.
I then used my envelope punch board to make the little tea bag envelope. Again Pineapple Punch matched the treat but this time Lovely Lipstick does too!
The paper for the tea bag envelope measures 5 inches square and is punched and scored with the Envelope Punch Board at 2 & 3/8 inches. The belly band is just 1/2 inch wide and 6 & 1/2 inches long is enough to wrap around and give a generous overlap to glue together. I added some Lovely Lipstick grosgrain ribbon and joined the ends at the front. This is then covered by the Tailored Tag punches. My sentiment ‘Sweet Wishes’ is in Lovely Lipstick ink on Whisper White card and comes from the Sale-A-Bration Hello Cupcake set. My final touch was to add 3 Lovely Lipstick Glitter Enamel Dots.
A lot of the little gifts I make tend to include chocolate or sweeties so it was nice to make fat free versions for a change, lol. These would make nice little extras to add to a Mother’s Day gift or to gift at Easter to anyone keeping an eye on their calories.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects. Thanks again to both Linda and Sam for their creations and instructions.
I’ve listed all of the products I used in my projects today below. You can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time. Just let me know if you have any comments or questions, I’d love to help.
Happy crafting,
