Mail it Monday – time to send out some cards

Hello!

I love making cards for every occasion and I send them to friends and family to celebrate all sorts of events.

However, it’s so much nicer to receive a card out of the blue! So today I’ve got these cards that I’m sending to people for no other reason than to let them know that they are in my thoughts or to remind them how much they mean to me.

Here’s an example of the one of the cards that’s in one of the envelopes going in the post today for #MailItMonday

I’ve used a Whisper White card base, measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then cut a piece of Coastal Cabana card to measure 10 x 14 cm, spritzed it with a little bit of water and then ran it through my Big Shot in the Dot to Dot embossing folder.

I actually decided to use the de-bossed side instead of the embossed one, for a little change.

I wanted the message to take centre stage so I stamped it in Coastal Cabana ink onto Whisper White card and cut it using my 2 inch circle punch. I used the Bitty Blooms punches and some of the gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots for the flowers.

I added some Whisper White ribbon to the card and then added the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and I used one of the other stamps from the set inside to say “Thank you for always being there for me”

I think myself very lucky that I have a number of Strong & Beautiful women in my life that could receive this card. It was a touch choice to decide which one to send it to. Just as well I had lots of other cards to send to some of the other lovely people in my life.
