Hello and thanks for joining me today. My blog is later today as I’ve been busy trying to wrap gifts! So I thought I’d share some with you…
There has been a lot of chat recently about how little of the Christmas wrapping paper we buy that can actually be recycled so I thought I’d create my own. I started off with a roll of Packing Paper that I picked up in the Post Office. I stamped the snowflake cluster from the Beautiful Blizzard set in Pacific Point ink randomly over the paper. This didn’t actually take as long as you might think, once you remember that the reason you’re doing this is that the paper will soon be in the recycling box/bin, and you don’t need to make sure that every stamp is as perfect as you would do on a card.
Although I have used string to tie my gifts you might notice that I cheated and used some sellotape as well!
I then made some very quick tags from Crumb Cake card measuring 2 x 3 & 1/2 inches that I punched with my Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I threaded one of the Snowflakes & Stars Wire Elements onto Linen thread and then tie this to the tag and onto the parcel. I also added a strip of the Suite Season washi tape to the bottom of the tag
I hope you agree that although the tags were super quick and easy to make they do look rather good.
I hope the people receiving these gifts will take the wire elements off the wrapping and use them again as decorations for their tree or to add to a gift for someone else next year. Reusing is even better than recycling!
I’ve listed the Stampin’ Up! products I’ve used in today’s project below. You can click on any of them to visit my online shop that’s open 24 hours a day. Remember to check out my Host Code page before you shop.
Happy crafting,
