Hello!
I bought a set of cupcake themed lip balms from a bargain store recently so I’ve made a little box for one of them to share with you today…
I cut 2 pieces of Lovely Lipstick card. The base measures 4 x 4 inches, scored at 1 & 1/4 inches on each edge. The lip measures 3 x 3 inches scored at just over 3/4 inch on each side. To make sure the lid is a snug fit I put a bit of scrap card at the edge of the piece I need to score like this…
(but not exactly like this as the score lines are wrong on this bit, ha ha!)
Score and fold your lines on each piece and cut and wedge the corner pieces in a pinwheel fashion like this…
This means that you don’t have to trim the tabs so that they don’t overlap. I used multipurpose glue to stick the tabs down, which gives you a little more time than double sided tape, to make sure you’ve got your edges lined up neatly.
I added DSP from the 2018-2020 In Colors pack to the top of the lid and the sides of both the lid and the the base.
The Thank You stamp is from All Things Thanks and is stamped in Lovely Lipstick onto Whisper White card. I cut this with Layering Circles framelits and also cut a larger scalloped circle from Lovely Lipstick card. I glued these together then added to the lid of the box along with 3 rhinestones.
