When I made the gift bag that I shared with you the other day I realised that I hadn’t used very much of the Best Route designer series paper. I don’t know why, because I love the colours in this pack.
So, to make amends I decided to make a coordinating birthday card…
My card base is Gray Granite card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to form a portrait tent fold.
I cut a layer of the Blueberry Bushel paper from Best Route measuring 14 x 10 cm and then a different paper from the same set that measures 13. 5 x 7 cm. After sticking these 2 papers together I added some Gray Granite Textured Weave ribbon and adhered the ends at the back. I then added this to my card base.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Perennial Birthday in Blueberry Bushel ink onto Whisper White card and cut it using my Tailored Tag punch. I used the same punch on Daffodil Delight paper, cut it in half lengthwise and backed the stamped tag so a little edge of the yellow shows. I added this with Stampin’ Dimensionals by lining up the points of the tag with the edge of the 2nd piece of designer series paper and the ends with the width of the ribbon.
I also stamped the inside with stamps from Perennial Birthday using Blueberry Bushel and Grapefruit Grove inks…
I added a few silver Metallic Pearls for just that little bit more detail. Here’s what the gift bag and card look like together. I think this is a nice match even although I’ve not used the same patterns from the Best Route designer series paper on each project. Do you agree?
