Hello! Today I’m sharing a very personal project with you; my 50th Birthday invitations…
I’m only having a very small gathering for dinner on my birthday but I still wanted to send proper invites. I decided on the theme of Very Vanilla and Gold heat embossing, a classic combination but still one of my favourites.
I created a pocket for my invites using Very Vanilla card and embossed the front panel using the Oh My Stars embossing folder. After making the pocket I used my 1/2 inch circle punch to make a notch at the top of the opening.
The balloons are from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, punched used the Balloon Bouquet punch, I added gold mini sequin trim to them as the strings and then added them to the pocket with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Celebrate the Good Stuff stamp comes from the Picture Perfect Party stamp set.
The actual details of the invite are inside…
I used Canva to create the insert with the details of the gathering but added more heat embossing with the bubbles from the Bubble Over stamp along one edge. I also added some Wink of Stella to the Fabulous Fifty printed on the card. A girl can never have too much sparkle! I mounted the printout to some more Very Vanilla card.
I used my Detailed Triple Punch to make a slot for some Gold Metallic Edged ribbon.
I had fun making these and hope to have lots more fun (and cake!) on my actual birthday when it comes!
I’ve listed the supplies I used for this project below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time.
Happy crafting,
