We recently had a little challenge in our Stampin’ Up! team’s facebook group to create a gift tag that had to measure 2.5 inches square. I’m always up for a challenge, especially if there’s Stampin’ Up! products up for grabs as a prize, lol !
Here’s the tag I created…
I started off with a piece of Whisper White Thick card measuring 5 x 2.5 inches that I scored on the long edge at 2.5 inches. I then used my Detailed Trio punch to round all of the corners and then punch the cute little design in each corner too. I also used the third part of this punch to make the slot for the ribbon to go through. I love that this one punch can do so much and easily copes with the thicker card I used for this project.
It seemed like a natural choice to use the Botanical Tags Thinlits dies for a Gift Tag challenge! I cut the flower out in Whisper White first, then Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz card stock and began to glue all the piece together to form the finished flower you see on the tag…
I threaded some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon and Silver Sequin Trim through the hole in the tag and tied them together with Silver bakers twine.
Finally I stamped the inside with the to: and from: stamp from Botanical Bliss stamp set in Blushing Bride ink
