I picked up some Lime & Orange Tic Tacs while shopping recently and immediately knew that I wanted to make a little holder for them. The obvious choice for my colour scheme was Lemon Lime Twist & Tangerine Tango…
It certainly is a bright combination, isn’t it? Certainly not one I think I’ve ever used before but it really does work for this little thank you gift.
As the label on the Tic Tacs has some bubbles it made me think of the Bubble Over stamp set and the Your Kindness is most Refreshing stamp seemed to fit perfectly. I stamped it in Tangerine Tango ink on Whisper White card and then cut it using one of the Bottles & Bubbles framelits dies. The stamp set and dies are available in a bundle with a 10% saving until 31 May 2018. They will both be in the new catalogue from 1 June 2018 but without the bundle price.
I also cut the bubbles using the framelits on Tangerine Tango card.
The base for the holder is Tangerine Tango card measuring 8.75 x 2 inches. Scored on the long side at 4 and 4.75 inches. I cut each end with the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch. I then added another piece of Tangerine Tango to stop the Tic Tacs falling out the side. This measured 1 x 5.5 inches and was scored on the long side at 0.5, 1.25, 3.125 & 3.875. This means that the width of the insert is 1/8th of an inch narrower than the outside of the holder and there’s a very small overlap at the back to make it easier to glue inside.
I added a Lemon Lime Twist piece of Fresh Florals designer series paper measuring 2.75 x 1.75 inches to the front of the holder, then glued on the label and bubbles I’d prepared earlier.
Just pop in the Tic Tac box and then use a little Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon tied closed with some Silver Bakers Twine.
