Hawaiian Challenge

I love my friends and I love a challenge.  And apparently my friends love to challenge me! Lol  The latest challenge came when a friend asked me to make a Hawaiian themed card.

I have no stamps or dies on that theme so I lost lots of time on Pinterest and eventually found a punch art Hula girl that inspired this card..

Peekaboo Peach and Berry Burst seemed a good Hawaiian colour combination and thankfully Picture Perfect Party designer series paper had the perfect design for the background of my card.

I genuinely couldn’t tell you what combination of punches and layering circle dies I used in the end.  My desk was a disaster zone while I tried various combinations until I was happy with the result.  There are some non- Stampin’ Up! products in there and the flowers are from a retired punch.

The balloons and Happy Birthday sentiment are from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

I have to say I’m rather fond of my Hula girl and I believe the lucky 9 year old birthday girl loved her card – phew!  Mission accomplished, ha ha.
