After I made the Birthday card I shared with you all yesterday, I decided that the card needed a coordinating gift box. And what better to put in a little gift box but chocolate? Yum!
This box fits 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates or you could squeeze in 8 tea lights instead if you preferred. Chocolate would win for me every time, lol.
I made the base using a piece of Powder Pink card measuring 5.5 inches square. I scored this at 1.25 inches on each side before assembling my box in the usual way.
The lid of my box is 1/16th of an inch longer and wider than the base. Again, each side is scored at 1.25 inches. This ensures that it is a snug fit but not impossible to get on and off again. The lid is of course made using some of the scrumptious Springtime Foils speciality designer paper that I had coloured using my Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends in an ombre style.
The “Treat yourself” stamp comes from the Picture Perfect Birthday set. To coordinate with yesterday’s birthday card I stamped it in Versamark on Whisper White card, covered it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I used one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut it out. I then used my 2″ circle punch on a scrap of Powder Pink card to sit behind it.
I coloured a little bit of ribbon with my Blends and cut a few bits from Silver Foil sheets with the Petals & More framelits. I also added one of the Petal Passion embellishments.
My sentiment is popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the final touch was a tiny metallic enamel heart.
I think this little gift compliments the card well. What do you think?
