As promised earlier this week, when I showed you the candle I stamped with the flower from the Color Me Happy stamp set here’s the box I made for it…
To make this box I used Powder Pink card measuring 10.5 x 6 inches. I scored on the long side at 2.5, 5. 7.5 and 10 inches. On the short side I scored at 2.5 inches.
I stamped a panel of Whisper White (measuring 2.25 inches x 11.7 inches) with the flower stamp from Color Me Happy in Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst and Melon Mambo inks to coordinate with the candle colours. I cut a 4 panels 2.25 inches x 3.25 and glued them to each side of my box base.
For the lid I used a piece of Powder Pink card measuring 3.5 x 3.5 inches. I scored this at just under 1/2 inch on each side. I added a Berry Burst panel of 2.25 x 2.25 inches and then a bit of the stamped card measuring 2 x 2 inches.
For the decoration I used the Pansy Punch to cut a window as I didn’t want to completely hide the pretty matching candle. I added a piece of Window Sheet with mini glue dots. I also stamped the Celebrate from Color Me Happy in Berry Burst ink on Powder Pink card and matted it onto a panel of Berry Burst card. The final touch was adding 3 self adhesive Tutti-Frutti sequins.
Once I’d assembled the box and lid I tied them together with Whisper White Organza Ribbon, which I think is one of my favourites right now, it’s so delicate and pretty and finished off so many projects perfectly.
I hope you agree that this candle and box would make a lovely little gift to a loved one. If you’d like to make your own, I’ve listed the products I used below. Just click on any of the images below to visit my online shop.
If you have any questions or comments please let me know, I’d love to hear from you.
Happy crafting!
