You are wonderful – decorated notepad & new storage solutions

Hello and thanks for joining me.

Today’s project is a decorated notepad that I picked up in Wilkos simply because they were only 20p each – a bargain. At the same time I bought some pencils that have motivational sentiments on them, like ‘Give Yourself Time’, ‘You Can’ and ‘Just Do Your Best’. That made me think that if you can have uplighting words on your pencil then why not your notepad too?

The ‘You Are Wonderful’ sentiment from Rooted In Nature seemed perfect for the job.

The notepad cover is made from a piece of Blackberry Bliss card measuring 9 inches by 3 & 3/8 inches. I scored this on the long side at 2 inches, 2 & 1/4 inches, 6 & 1/4 inches and 6 & 1/2 inches. I cut 1 piece of Nature’s Poem designer series paper to measure 3 & 1/8 inches by 1 & 3/4 inches to add to the bottom front section and another bit to measure 3 & 1/8 inches by 2 & 1/4 inches for the top section. I used velcro dots to fasten the 2 front sections in the middle.

I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry onto Powder Pink card as unfortunately, I don’t have Blackberry Bliss ink, yet! I used a Rectangle Stitched framelits die to cut this out to stick onto the front of the cover.

I think this makes the little notepad look much better don’t you?

I’ve listed the products used in today’s project below. You can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time. I’d be honoured to be your independent demonstrator.

Now, while you’re here why don’t you take a look at the brand new Storage solution from Stampin’ Up! to help keep your creative space organised. These modular units have been created to perfectly fit the new style of ink pad, Stampin’ Write Markers and Stampin’ Blends

Check out this little video to see just some of the many possible combinations…

Happy crafting,
